Today we had some more people sharing their learning so far. We heard about cooking, technology, volcanos, cats and the Great Barrier Reef. I love the diversity you've shown in coming up with your Genius Hour projects. You have chosen some big questions to research and I'm so impressed with the amount of work you have managed in such a short space of time and I'm really looking forward to seeing your projects grow.
You have some fantastic ideas about projects you want to work on. This week we really started to focus in on the questions that are important to you. We used mindmup to create a bank of questions and here are some examples:
Eli - It's when you get an hour every week to discover something new. To use your brain.
Yasmin - Anything you want to learn William - You don't need somebody to teach you. Dev - Google let employees have a genius hour Sara - Find something you're passionate about and learn more about it Miles - It's managing your own learning and not having a teacher babysit you. Be independent. Be yourself. Suryansh -You can learn anything. Robin - Open your inner genius. I've been running Genius Hour projects in my classes for 3 or 4 years now. Each year it is slightly different because the students are different and they all have their own ideas about what it should look like. I'm going to give you some time to research Genius Hour and then we will think about what it will look like in Grade 4IM. Below are some great resources to get you started. |
