There is a great Netvibes page for Grade 4. It is a great resource and might be useful for helping you work with your targets. Click here.
This week you have set targets for yourselves in reading, writing and mathematics. The idea is that these targets will help you grow your intelligence because your "brains are like muscles that can be strengthened through hard work and persistence." Therefore if you work hard at your targets you are developing a growth mindset. Clicking on the headline below takes you to an interesting article that tells you more about how to get Growth Mindset right. It is meant for teachers and adults but I think it's an important message for you guys too.
What would you like to get better at in maths?
How could you become a better writer? What do you think would make you a better reader? I want to give you the chance to work on the things you feel are important in your learning so I’ve set up this google doc to help you along the way. I would like you to think of a target for your writing, reading and maths. You then need to think about how you might achieve that target. There are some links below to help you if you are stuck for ideas. However, you can use your own ideas if you have them.
