Well check out this article. It looks like Portugal are leading the way when it comes to using renewable energy. What do you think?
Do you remember the debate we held at the end of our last unit, where we looked at the benefits and disadvantages of a variety of energy sources?

I think it a great idea but they should expand the time and they should try it other countries such as Tanzania and other countries in east Africa. They did to a good job but I wonder why they stopped? It is a great idea and in the comments section many people said that they should do it again.

I think this is amazing that the WHOLE of Portugal could run on only renewable resources for 107 hours this connects with bio energy because bio is also renewable on the article it says that they got inspired by Denmark to do this i think that connects to trying to sustain the matter or the event!

I think it is great but if they can spread it to the other country then it will be better

I thought it was good that this was happening and I think that if we all used renewable energy sources we would have a healthier environment.

I think this connects to the debate because I think there trying to raise awareness and trying to say renewable and non pollution is better for example

I think it's good that Portugal is using renewable energy soures and not using non-renewable energy sources.

I feel like this article connects to our debate because at the last paragraph it says 'Portugal generated 3% from solar'.

i think this article connects to our debate because in the article it said that, nuclear was 27%, 13% from hydro and the wind was 7.5% and the last one was solar. Solar was 3 from solar i think it is 3% for solar because 1 solar is very expensive and it is hard to find . i think nuclear is 27% because it is very easy to find but sometimes it is expensive and i think it is sometimes expensive because it is non non-renewable, and for nuclear you use it more because you have cars that need it and other things.

I think it was impressive that they went four whole days with clean energy. Maybe they could try that with other countries and form a new way of a clean and safe life in the world and change the thinking of other countries energy resources. The levels of coal and all the other non-renewable resources will go down of the clean energy continues to go on we would not have much of it left .Will they continue doing this or will they stop this going on they should not only do it with europe but also Africa.
